Before paying any tax, verify if your phone is already registered by following these steps:

  1. Visit the PTA Device Verification System (DVS) website: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/
  2. Enter your phone’s IMEI number (usually found on a sticker behind the battery or by dialing *#06#)
  3. Click “Check.”

The website will display your phone’s status, including any outstanding taxes.

  1. After you follow the steps in the above article, you just need to know the number of SIM slots on your mobile and their IMEIs
  2. Just dial *06# to check IMEI on your mobile. Note, that you will need to provide separate IMEI for every SIM slot.
  3. Enter the IMEI information on the PTA portal for paying mobile registration tax.
  4. After you enter the IMEI information, you will be provided with Payment Slip Identity Generation (PSID)
  5. You can use this PSID to pay registration fees for your mobile application to make your mobile PTA-compliant
  6. PTA registration fees can be paid via direct bank transfer or online mobile wallets like Easypaisa and Jazzcash or you can also pay via ATMs and bank branches in Pakistan.
